Especially with shows and movies!!!! never know when they'll stop re-releasing them on the new media. Streaming platforms even digital buys won't last if licenses are lost or the website closes down.. =A=

*nod nod* I've been told, "Get it on Netflix." And I go NO. I don't wanna pay more for internet, and yeah, like you said.

For me, doing all that streaming would cost more than the DvDs I buy.

Anime Bluray Boxset 60-80$ a box. (Some go for over 100$ if they have extra items come with)

1 year of Crunchyroll is soon 80$ (price went up =A=)

There are 10 different bluray sets that I want to get.. ono Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Part 1, My Roommate is a Cat, Reincarnated as a slime... many more all come out next month QnQ

For me, it's cheaper to stream, see which ones I really like, then buy the ones I really love. Besides, I won't know if I like it if I don't watch it first, and I'm doing my best not to pirate stuff anymore so streaming is the only route, because anime, you either pirate it to see it, or stream it to see it.

Ohhhh. Yeah, see, it's not anime I'm watching, and not blue-ray disks. I just DvD. And get a lot of them second hand.

I mostly watch anime and I get the blurays. Especially the limited editions if they're available >w>

But yea.. Streaming is really only good for seeing if you like a movie/show enough to buy it. The companies won't have licenses for those movies/shows forever and once the licenses expire, no more access to that movie/show.

Something similar with games. I have one of those old old first gen PSP handhelds. I had some digital games bought for it, it was the only way to get those games. When the Vita came out, the closed/moved the shop and so the original PSP lost access, so you were kinda screwed if you needed to re-download those games. =A=

Physical release is better. While digital saves you space, physical you won't lose access to unless you damage your disk or.. actually lose the disk (stolen/misplaced)

*nod nod* And there's the case to look at. I like books, so having a case for my shows and movies just seems proper for a story to have.
