Now that I think about it, I don't really know. I think it's just one of the bigger places or something? Maybe a road starts or ends there? I honestly don't know where I've heard it so often but it's not at all unfamiliar to me.

As soon as I was writing a reply to Wiltherel I realized it was her who lived in Gelderland and you lived in Leiden so I couldn't have been more wrong. :')
