Dark: Oh poo, that scanner wouldn't have done good for me, I always use crayons or color pencils because I got nothing else xD

My mom also did that :l Luckily, it wasn't all of them though, and she seemed to throw away the ones I cared least for... like just sitting on top of my piano.

Nor do I, but I was content just drawing in classic pencil. I don't really know how to incorporate color anyway.

How fortunate for you. It was the opposite for me, my mother always picked the ones I cared for most.

I feel like new phones take quality enough pictures to not really require a scanner anymore. Is that just me?

Then there's us who can't afford smart phones. XD

Though a lot of times the picture quality still misses details when taken on a smart phone, and there's always the struggle at keeping your shadow out of the photo.

True enough. The last scanner I used ended up making it look worse. It's been awhile since I've used one :P (at least 5 years)

Dark: :c And that's really unfortunate. I have dolls that I love a lot, I can't imagine my mom throwing them out...

And what feather said about the shadow. It's a hassle every time :T

I don't have a shadow issue, the only annoying thing about taking photos on my phone is that the focus and lighting can be a butthead.
