I usually get gifts for like 10 people I think..? Or 11?
I've given up on trying to buy something for everyone though. XD So I make cookie boxes. Last year we made cranberry-almond biscotti, pumpkin choco-chip cookies, and homemade truffles (which I will not be making again cause they're just always too rich for me).

I think this year we're going to try out some blackberry muffins since we have a lot of blackberries we froze from summer. Though I'd like to make my grandma's xmas cookies since they're always a hit.

But I like doing that because I have a lot of fun baking with my bf. And everyone always looks really happy to get sweets. XD

Actually I don't know what I am going to do for my bf's mom and sister. They suddenly started freaking out about gmo's and all this other stuff and they won't eat pretty much anything that's not organic.
(Which in my opinion is silly. Because we are all poor around here. So what very little money they had for food is buying them even less. D: I understand wanting to eat healthier, but when everything they are buying is 2x the price I get worried that they aren't getting enough. idk)
Either way that makes things difficult for me because I don't want to upset them. =_=

No one really gets me gifts tho. XD Except online. I wish I could give gifts back for every one I am given on here, but... too many! @_@ And some from people I never talked to, haha.
Maybe I should do a raffle giveaway or something like I did on Solia once.>_>

*continues rambling*

I'd like to give all my friends art, but that would be a lot of art xD
I did try to do it one year and I just fell behind.
Maybe if I just did busts it wouldn't take as long.

Yeah, healthy food is expensive. We saw some fruit smoothies (I don't know if those are healthy) and they were like $4 or $5 for somewhat small containers.
And we barely bought anything yesterday and it was $35.
I can't believe how expensive things are and I'm really cheap most of the time, so I tend to put stuff back on the shelf a lot so we don't spend too much eventhough it is something I really wanted.

The grocery store is having this thing where if you buy a turkey, you get a ham for free.
So my mom's going to do that and we'll have the turkey for Thanksgiving and the ham for Christmas.
So that's not bad at all.

My grandma is very...She like isn't quite there anymore. But she used to make dinner for us every year and bake tons of cookies. She was always really good at cooking. My dad was like "And just think - I grew up eating all that stuff!" I really miss those times and it makes me sad to see her in that condition. She fell and broke her leg not that long ago and my aunt and uncle can't keep up with her all the time, so they were thinking of putting her in a nursing home and that is really sad to me, but I understand it's costing them a lot of time and money.

aw... i'm sorry to hear about your grandma. can't your aunt and uncle hire a government sponsored helper? i don't know what the criteria is, but i know that's how we pay for ours for my grandma. tho i don't know anything about it because my aunt who works at the hospital applied for it.

as for christmas, i actually stopped celebrating christmas with my family and friends. ^^; i do celebrate it with my bf's family tho. XD basically the minute i'm out for winterbreak, i travel with my bf to go see his parents who are out of state. my family doesn't really care because they usually just do their own thing for christmas anyways. ^^; and for them, since i only see them about once a year, i usually point out stuff for my bf to buy whenever something reminds me of them throughout the year.
same with art... i would love to give people art, but since i'm on a plane right before work ends, i barely have time to draw... -_-

drinks in general are now expensive to buy... whether it be smoothies or tapioca drinks. -_- same with healthy foods... everything that's organic and such are so expensive. i just go to my asian markets cuz those tend to be cheaper. most likely not organic, but definitely nicer to my wallet. ^^; honestly, if obesity is a problem in the U.S. and part of the reason is because people are buying cheap fast foods... why not make healthy food cheaper, so we'll be willing to pay for that. XD

Yeah I'd eat a lot healthier if food wasn't so expensive. I end up opting to get like high packs of hotdogs since they're like $3 for 20 instead of getting say chicken breasts which are way healthier. Cause chicken breast here are like $6-$7 for 2 or 4 most times. @_@ It's insane!
I agree that healthier food needs to be cheaper. I try to grow some stuff myself, but the conditions here are so dry year round it's hard to produce anything (plus I suck at gardening)

I end up putting a lot of things back too. D: Or I will go home and look up recipes of things I want and try to make it myself for cheaper (or sometimes it costs more but I end up having way more of whatever it is leftover for later).
My grocery store had 17lb turkey's on sale for like $9 so I got one of those. I think I have ham in my freezer for xmas, but idk

I'll admit I kinda wish I lived away from most of my family so i didn't have to go see them for holiday's. Like my aunts and cousins and stuff. :( I just feel so different from all of them so it's a nightmare for me to be forced to go. It's like they are all into alcohol and drugs, and they're loud and messy and rude. And I am over here like 'I like to draw and bake things' *sits quietly in horror*.

I'm usually quite bad about posting regularly (and it doesn't help that it's finals right now >.<) so I hope I'm able to collect all of the items
