Kingdom of Knuffel

Your plans for tonight is to go out into the woods to try and find those mythical fairies that you found when you were young. She has been your friend since a young age, but you really want to help her reunite with your family. This fairy race has eluded you for years, with no signs of getting closer.

Tonight you'll continue to complete the steps of an ancient ritual; it will be a full year of work, every evening coming a little closer to completion. Full moons are especially important, but if you miss even one night then you have to start over completely! It's a lot of dedication, but you're up for it!

The next night you continue your search of the little fairy race. Last night you had some luck and you're hoping tonight will be even luckier. But alas, as the moon reached it's height, you are exhausted and frustrated with little to no luck this night. Was last night a fluke? you thought to yourself. You shake your head and decided to turn in for the night.

This evening you'll need to gather lilac blossoms, cut with an obsidian knife. You'll distill the scent, and use that same obsidian knife to drip the essence into a rune etched on the floor where you are conducting your ritual. :)

The third night, you decided to start fresh again. You gather up your fairy friend, making sure she will not get separated from you. Coming to the spot you first found the clue of these fairies being in the area, you head south, following a river that was flowing near by. Your little friend was having trouble keeping up so you let her rest on your shoulder. Tonight you made progress. Another clue, but this one doesn't seem quite right.

Tonight's task is relatively benign; you have an hour-long chant you recite while standing in the middle of your circle of protection. It happens at least once a week, and you're glad because there's a storm out tonight, which would have made it unpleasant to have to go out in it.
Good thing you don't have laryngitis, though!

This night you decided to keep your fairy friend home. Your gut was telling you something is wrong, but you didn't know quite what it was. There was a risk you were not going to take. With every precarious step you took, you could feel dread filling up in you. Fairy wings lay scattered on the ground, glimmering in the moonlight. What has happened here. You didn't want to know. You ran away, never looking back. You don't know if you will ever continue the search.

Tonight marks one of the cornerstones of progress; at the end of an evening filled with finicky drawing, you know the inscriptions were correct when they all suddenly blaze with light, and rearrange themselves into a simple spiraled labyrinth pattern. Aha! Everything is going well!

Go out for a stroll in your garden, smell all of your lovely, blossomed flowers and listen to the birds singing.
