Mem, if you're in a situation where you try it again, you should try a cocktail. Much lighter on the alcohol and they usually taste super nice. For me, almost all alcohol tastes gross on its own.
Actually I think I saw something similar in the Polish corner shop we have in town. We went in there once but I had to bring J out because he was too embarrassing, going on about how "weird" everything was
like yeah why don't you say that louder so every single person who shops here regularly can hear you and get offended

Hah, I'll try to remember, but no promises

I agree, alcohol on its own is blech ;P
You mean the aloe vera drink?
Why did it look weird to him? Polish letters much? XD jk

I can understand why natives feel weird in a foreigner's shop. I've been to a Russian market a few times and it feels like home to me, but I see that my friends or ex boyfriends felt a bit weird and other people also felt weird about it us being in there, speaking German and not the language of "the shop"

Everything was written in Polish, but that wasn't it. It was the products themselves which are really different to what we would eat or drink lol.
It's the sensation you get when you go into a supermarket in a foreign country XD Or you even see the things you recognise put into a different format. For example in the US, we kept going LOOK HOW MASSIVE THAT IS about everything from pizzas to vegetables because in the US they supersize everything compared to us XD

That's a lot of studying. I'm pretty impressed. I barely manage to do that much work a day now when paying the mortgage literally depends on it XD

Well, no wonder, things in other countries are different XD But I wouldn't say it's "weird" (although Cucumber Pepsi? Green Tea KitKats? Japanese be weird, lol XD)
Whoa, that's a lot of studying hours, you must be a pro by now!

I wouldn't say it's weird either, and definitely not in front of the person who owns the shop in a loud British accent X'D
