The libraries are very different here depending on which one you go to! I am lucky, I was able to choose which city to live in, and I chose mostly based on the library. >.<
So we have a very good one here!
(Then I got the rest of my family to move out here as well. It made me exceedingly pleased. )

Travel is awesome though, you should definitely be planning so you can make it happen! I've never been to the southern hemisphere at all yet, although my grandfather has often been. He was a chemical oceanographer, and got to travel to all sorts of interesting places. His stories are really fun.


Oh, boy, I always forget how tiring it is, when you give blood. I know some people have no trouble, but I always get super tired afterwards.

anyhow, working at a university sounds amazing! Do they let you audit a certain number of courses for free?

Oceanographer, I haven't heard of it, but I am guessing it is: a photographer of oceans OR someone who samples water in the different parts of the ocean.

An oceanographer is someone who studies the ocean, there are many different kinds.
My grandfather was a chemical oceanographer, meaning he studied the chemical makeup of seawater in various oceans, and compared them, and then drilled ice cores in antarctica and elsewhere to see the HISTORICAL chemical makeup of the seawater, and compared them, and he would go down in submarines to test the waters near the hot-water vents and underwater volcanoes and things, et cetera.
He is rather elderly, but when he was beginning in the field, for instance, they were still having to fight to prove tectonic plate movement was a real thing. And were still trying to map the predictable underwater currents, etc.
So it has changed a lot since he began!


(I admit, I am not fond of needles either. I can never look, and pretend that the arm does not belong to me! And faint sometimes. But, you know, I really believe in it, that I should do it if I can. There are too many people in my family, who would not be alive without some assistance. So I try and go anyhow, whenever I am eligible. There are other things that I cannot bring myself to do. We all have limits! I don't drive, for instance, unless it is an emergency or I am doing my upkeep-driving, so I don't forget how in case there is an emergency. It gives me a headache that lasts for hours and sometimes into the next day, and I hate all the adrenaline, and I'm always shaking after the first few minutes... we all have limits.)

Okay, so:
First, the update on the fountain-knuffel: Today the grand take was only 110 food points.
So that's 640 day one, 2150 for day two, and 110 for day three. Average is 966 & 2/3, lol...
anyhow, at the current rate, it will pay for itself in 6 days' digging (little less, but on the 6th day). WITH an Amaly the Cat, and WITH a lvl 100 knuffel.
So around 11 days without the cat, on a lvl 100 knuffel.
And not counting the opportunity cost of the worth of whatever I might be digging up in the Dark element area.

On the whole, I'd say: Kinda nice to have one of. With cat.

But I don't know that I'll be getting anymore, at least not until I've finished all the quests.
