Mm. I was talking to a friend on DA about the FFVII remake 8u
He was saying they broke the continuity and changed a lot of the original story and even mocked people who didn't like the changes in the game.
But I really don't get what he's talking about o_O
I mean, I thought they did a good job with adding new characters and the story didn't seem to differ that much.
I also don't know how the game was mocking people like him IN the game...
I wanted to ask him to explain, but I don't want to sound stupid for asking xD;

the only original story changes i saw was them added stuff sooner than when they normally showed up. (mainly memories and seeing sephiroth so soon)
Continuity.. yea thats broken since we have to wait for the next part xD old game we got all 3 disks
o3o what mocking?
There was a person on discord who seemed upset over the remake. They never played the original and felt that they needed to play the original to understand what's going on. it's like "it's the same in the old game. a lot of stuff is explained later, playing the old game will just spoil stuff for you"

But see, even with adding new characters and moving things around, I don't think it's strayed far away from the original story o_O
He said they created characters in the game to represent the people like him who aren't happy with the changes to the game.
I think the remake is better than the original just based on how they fleshed out the characters more.
I really didn't care much for most of the characters in the original, which is something you should work on.
When no one cares about your characters, then it's bad ._.

Actually.. a lot of the 'new' characters are in the FF7 storyline.. just in parts that happen after meteor or advent children o3o Leslie and Kyrie are from some turk detective side story! owo
they dont change the story though by being added, they actually help the story move along and makes people want to go look for that side story >x>,
I love the remake, just dislike having some of the stuff happening too soon x'D

I liked Leslie 8u
"Leslie" is actually my grandpa's, great grandma's and aunt's name xD
So I'm more inclined to like characters named that u8
I'm excited to see the full game.
The original was never really one of my favorite games, so maybe that's why I don't mind these changes.

-only managed to fully play original last month- OwO probably why I love the remake, i didn't get attached to the original.. x'D
There's a character with my name in the game... no one else has a family member name so far xD

Yeah. Makoto. I've got a story character with that name. She's a Japanese engineer who wore a tuxedo to her wedding, because no beep way will she ever wear a dress. Her husband wore the dress to embarrass their bosses. He's a goof.

Final Fantasy IX is my favorite game ever. I kind of hope they remake it, but I doubt they will.
I think Final Fantasy VII is the biggest one so they remade it xD

I have characters named everything ._.
I'm working on a story right now that has an oni and monks who take down evil creatures and exorcise spirits.
Not entirely satisfied with the humans' outfits yet.

Through the years they kept saying they wouldn't remake it then eventually gave up for whatever reason. Glad they did. >w> 9 was the only one I beat until recently xD
