I'm not sure, I don't think I have read the Katherine Briggs one. It's a bunch of short stories and a couple poems.

Haha yea it's fine as you haven't bought anything in ages :D And I am sure you need that stuff :P

Oh no :/ I agree with you, it's fine if the focaliser and narrator switch, but that shouldn't happen too often..

Yeah, need.... >.> haha

I'm enjoying the book in general but it does just yank you up out of the storyline and make you have to tread water for a bit while you reorient yourself.

I am glad that you enjoy it nevertheless :)

I'm pretty sure I am steeply falling behind on my challenge though haha. Both the physical book and the book on my phone I'm reading at the moment are on the longer side of things. I've been trying to alternate with one long book and one short one but it didn't work out this time :mcheh:

I've abandoned my challenge entirely at this point, and am just reading what I get to...

Still trying to sort through a number of books from Elders. They can really pile up if I let them.

You can always keep the books, Akili, so no problem at all!

I finally finished The Victorian Fairy Tale Book!

No, can't keep all of them. Last Elder who moved in came to me from 40-odd years in a three-story house that was pretty filled with bookcases. They wouldn't all FIT, even if I moved all the people out of my house and just had books living here instead....

There are boxes in our house now, and more boxes waiting in various neighbors' houses, too.

A lot of them I'm not even trying to read. For instance, all those old electrical manuals? I don't need that many out of date electrical manuals, and neither does the Elder who kept three shelves of them (an entire box worth!). I went online to look up the titles, kept three, and dropped the rest off at the local used book store for some credit there.
But there are a lot of boxes that aren't so easy to sort, so it's taking a while. The neighbors are being sweet, and are definitely owed pie at the very least.

Ah, I see.. Isn't it still fun to sort all these boxes? Even though there are so many of them? :) Also nice of your neighbours to take care of the boxes for now :)
