Overall my phones have worked pretty long, compared to the two year lifespan. Until this new phone that I now have. I got it almost a year ago, and yet it's already showing odd things that make me worry it'll break or something soon enough. The latest annoyance is when it started removing my set times for the alarm to go off and kept adding its own randomly. Like, 4am and so on, which is so much fun. It's a smart phone, my first one. I hate it so much. Can't wait to get a proper phone again... But what can ya do, it was a gift.....
I do always fear dropping my phone in the toilet, each time I go anywhere near one with my phone.

Old phones were resilient. I still have my first phone and I could swear that if I were to drop it from the 9th floor, it would still work. But I got addicted to internet and youtube and the best thing my first phone has as a distraction on it is snake

They sure were and are. And not just phones. Tv, computers... Those things were meant to last, back in the old good days. I still remember some years ago at school (I was studying some computery stuff, don't know what to call it in English) our teacher showed us all these old computer parts and computers, which were pretty ancient and looked like it too, and yet they were in perfect condition, compared to what they make now, which if they make it past few years, it's a miracle.

Yep. But now we want speed and graphic on our computers so I can understand why they die young. We turned a resisting turtle into a speedy rabbit. Age difference speaks for itself.

Depends on the computer. Speaking of computers, I really wish to be able to sit down one day and build my own, with linux. Apple, so freaking overpriced it's really not funny and the only ones laughing (all the way to the bank) are those who get the money. Microsoft, I won't even dignify myself by trying to describe my feelings about that piece of... I've worked with and have owned all three of them.

Never had linux, I didn't even know they made them anymore, never could afford Apple (my monthly salary is 400 euros for crying out loud), but I can't complain about Microsoft that much, maybe cuz it's the only one I ever had? Although they do get a LOT of viruses...
I could never build a computer... Can't even install a soft on my own and I hear you just have to push enter a couple of times XD

Made? You mean there's been actual linux computers sold before? Never seen that. Mostly I've worked with linux computer when it's been "home made" so to speak.
I had macbook pro or something, until it stopped working for some reason. Overall it was easier and much better to use than microsoft has ever been (and looked so much nicer too). But again, super expensive and had to save money to even buy that one. Every single microsoft product has been such a pain to work with. Linux, while it's not always been as user friendly as the macbook that I had, it's not so bad once you learn to use it.

A former collegue had one. I don't know if she bought it or made it, I just assumed she bought it.
I don't use a computer for too many things. Except for digital drawing 95% of the things I do on a computer I can do on my phone, so I don't mind Microsoft.

I use computers too much... But it can't be helped. I use it to write, to draw, for the internet, the information, some entertainment etc etc... Maybe when I have a life I'll need it less, lol.

I'm used to Microsoft, and when I try to use an Apple product, it makes me want to throw the screen across the room. Even the keyboards don't make sense to me.
I drop my phone on our stone floor all the time, but somehow it survives perfectly XD I think I must be really lucky.
