Mynah: not surprising lol. I think old domains expire after a certain time but before they do, you can still use them and they’d just redirect you to the new/affiliated URL. The reason the old kofk URL stopped working is probably because the URL had expired and it would instead give you an error page lol.
Moi: yeah same, I had the old URL bookmarked and I’d just use that bookmark each time. The URL changed last year after the site wide maintenance in May. However, I think they must’ve paid for the original domain name/URL for the year and it wouldn’t expire until the following year. A few days ago must’ve been the expiry date which was why it could no longer be used and why we got error messages lol.

Yeah, Zia said something about them announcing it would die eventually.
But there's no way I'd remember that xD
I know myself well enough to know I can't trust myself >8u
I'm disappointed in yet not surprised by my past self's laziness to not just bookmark the new link.

did they say that? it was just my assumption it would happen eventually but i still didn't bother making a note of it lol.

Zia said it was in the announcement and I feel like it's in my memory bank xD
I'm also sure Firn and starkad would warn us and not just be like "We can trust our users to have common sense, especially that Moi person 8u"

I didn’t even read it I think. I KNEW about the site maint and the URL change but I just considered the whole “expiring URL” thing to be common sense lol. Maybe I’m just weird that way lol.
