It sounds familiar, but I don't remember reading Psyren. I'll have to look it up. Is it a shounen?

Haven't heard of that manga either. How long has it been running?

I'm not a big fan of shounens these days. Not necessarily the action, but the plot lines get kind of... run of the mill after a while, for me anyway. I guess that's true with anything though. I try to find odd stuff.

@Zia: Ah, I've tried a bit of Psyren before. It had an interesting concept, but something about it seemed very similar to Bleach to me, so my interest just kinda drifted off...

I remember reading one semi-new manga in Jump that I wouldn't mind continuing though... something about a kid... and art... Picasso? I don't quite remember much about it (as it was a few months back), but I liked it.

Even though there are some interesting anime/manga out, I haven't seen/read anything particularly outstanding lately. I think my last big ones were Death Note, Durarara!, and Baccano! I also liked Princess Jellyfish (Kuragehime), but it wasn't amazing as far as the anime was concerned. XD;

I think if I like the manga first, it's hard to like the anime. It seems like the anime is usually a condensed version. Sometimes it's good, sometimes... not so much.

Yeah, I get that, Nuke. I liked Death Note the manga, but not the anime, but for Durarara! and Baccano, I liked the anime a bit more.

I haven't read the manga for either of those... I've seen Baccano though.

I couldn't stand the English dub of Death Note when it came out... My bro didn't seem to mind it, but I'm use to it in Japanese already.
