Did you mean syphilis? Sifilis seems to be French, though I guess the thread never specifies which language the word has to come from.

Yes I did! I think I spelt it wrong and Google Chrome suggested "sifilis". So embarrassing!

That's cool it'd suggest a non-English word. My Firefox doesn't even recognize some English words.

It must have been created by people from a dialect of English different from mine, because it'll accept mum but not mom. Or it didn't. It seems to be fine today. I guess enough people complained. Or I added it to the dictionary and forgot about it.

Chrome used to be a bit of a pain with some words spelled the British way, but now it isn't.
