What a shame :|

Speaking of smallish houses I've seen on HGTV people calling 1k square foot master bedrooms (excluding the closet and bathroom) "kind of small"
Course, those people would prolly explode at our houses
I mean, their "kind of small" master bedrooms are the same size as the entire first floor here. There is one bathroom. Closet space virtually doesn't exist. There is no master bedroom cuz the four bedrooms (dad's doesn't count when it comes to eventually selling the house) are all the same size. Second floor is considered a half floor. The insulation for the house is the blown in type, and cuz that type settles a lot, the house is, oh, ~25% insulated and gets worse every year, spots harder to heat. There is no central air, so no "flip a switch for heating or a/c" stuff. That fireplace is the sole heat source for the entire house. That single bathroom? Toilet, tub/shower combo that leaks during baths, one sink, a bit of storage space, and that's it. Oh, and a litterbox cuz cats. Basement? Would be considered partially finished at best. Acoustics are weird, as in downstairs you can barely hear the TV while upstairs it's loud and clear. Most of the windows need updating, if not all of them by now. The area with dad's room was a porch that got enclosed then became a part of the house and so is essentially grandfathered in. The doorbell on the front door doesn't work, the wiring or whatever was all removed by the previous owner. Birds like to nest in the chimney. Both doors leading in/out of the house need replacing. One has a long crack that if you look carefully during the day, you can see the light through. The other one has a window on the top half and part of the frame broke and has been MIA. The upstairs windows are all too small for a window a/c unit, so don't bother. Nothing is square cuz the house is over 100 years old and actually got moved from its original location

But hey, the roof's new and not orange
