i don't think we've ever really made pizza homemade here lol. i think my sister has although that's because she's more interested in baking random stuff that she got recipes from online. whenever she has time, she likes to experiment and we become her guinea pigs. xP

Hotarla: Some of them are the same size as Walmart.
The one down the road is small, but there's many bigger ones.
They're even making the big one by where my dad lives even bigger 8u

There's four of us - five if my mom's boyfriend comes by.
Everyone eats something different so it's not like we can just get two pizzas and feed everyone.
My mom and aunt like supreme but my sister and I hate it.
My mom's boyfriend likes mushrooms on his, but the rest of us hate it.
I like pepperoni and black olives but my sister hates it.
My sister detests sauce so she gets plain, sauceless cheese pizza.
Not to mention, we eat it for a couple days so it's dinner more than once.

Amura: Sure fellow pizza lover 8u

I've never actually had homemade pizza.
I'd like to try it if the person making it knows what they're doing.

ohhhhh i see. 8U

um.......wow picky much? XD;; like...our fam, we eat pizza regardless of what the toppings are lol. besides, unlike your fam it seems, we would rather adjust our own tastes than buy separate pizzas for everyone. like i love olives and so does my mom but my dad doesn't really like them all that much. and besides, these days, my mom and i are in agreement that adding olives leaves a pizza saltier than it should be so we no longer get any pizzas with olives. we learn to adjust instead of being picky with our food. that and its a much cheaper alternative lol. its not like we have oodles of money just to spend on separate pizzas.......^^;;

a family should learn how to adapt to one another, instead of spoiling everyone just because they don't like something....^^;; at least, that's what i think. i hope what i said hasn't offended anyone, all families are different after all.

See, that's the good thing about homemade, you put in it what you want :mclaugh:

If my family were so picky, I would put different ingredients in different sides of the pizza.
You can buy a ready-to-use pizza dough and just put your ingredients of choice on top of it, mushrooms on this quarter, pepperoni on this quarter, etc.

Hotarla, I agree with family members adapting to others. But there is a caveat.
There are things you do for the family to enjoy, that's their whole purpose, and then it does not make sense to have one of the members of the family rather unconfortable about it.
Pizza is one of those things for me.

I don't know what to tell you other than not everyone likes the same things. Not just with food but all kinds of things.
Just because one person likes something doesn't mean I should be forced to like it too.
Not gonna happen.
Most of my friends and family don't like horror but I do. Should I force them to like it too just because I like it?

Oh, well, I do force my son to eat his veggies. I'm that kind of mother. :mcsquee:

And more often than not I compromise - and so do the rest of the family.
For example, I like onion in my Spanish tortilla but my husband and son do not - so we all eat it without. But on the other hand we eat legumes quite often although they don't love them as I do.
Cooking is way easier if everybody eats the same, so reaching this kind of compromises really makes life easier.

But I keep thinking that "fun" stuff ought to be an exception. Cause you're trying to have fun.
Pizza is a "fun" food for me, so I would expect everybody to order whatever they really love.
My son loves chorizo in his pizza, seems silly to me but that's his choice. We just bake a second one with completely different ingredients.

People like different foods. I love spicy food but other people don't. My mom especially doesn't like it. I won't force her to make spicy food if she doesn't like it.

Everyone gets a choice and that's simply how it is.

Don't you dare to melt, Hotarla! :mcargh:

I think it's a matter of how we undertand family dynamics.
Which of course may be very different from a household to another, not even to mention from a country to another!

For me it's very interesting that Moi thinks so different. :mccool:
Most people where I live would not even consider making a whole completely different meal for a grown-up (unless there were allergies or intolerances) but they would do for a little kid and also for someone whose values and background are very different (veganism, religion).

Maybe where you live (I don't remember where you are from) the usual thing is that each member of the household eats their own food, made separately?

Too late, we’ve been getting a heat surge this week. QAQ I’ve been melting for the past few days.
