i had a friend who's birthday was on christmas lol.

sometimes we'd get a random fly flying into the house lol. like if we leave the door open for too long, either the front door or the backyard door, something might fly in lol.

My aunt's birthday was February 29th.
She claims she is barely 15

I dunno, she was asian and not like "first generation canadian born asian" but "born in HK asian"........some asian people adopt western traditions while others don't.......XD so its possible that gifts were all combined into one day, regardless of whether its a birthday or not.....my parents never really put much stock into things like allowances or wrapped presents lol.

yeah like us. we don't really celebrate it lol.

and i knew someone who was born on a leap year so she only had birthdays every how many years lol. i remember this because she had a suuuuuuuuuper long name. it was something like.......Herthana Sivapathasubramanyam or something.......8U

I've known children who were born around Xmas (not the very same day) and would get an inordinate amount of gifts.
I think most adults want to make sure they do because somehow their birthday is "less special" in the middle of Xmas madness.

Here Xmas is quite huge.
You got so many family gatherings within two weeks, and two gift-giving dates, that if you want to celebrate something else there really is nowhere to put it.

Yeah we do none of that here? No lights or trees or wrapped presents or whatever. My sister still does that stuff with her friends because she’s got a gazillion friends who do present gifting and the like. The most we do is a fancier dinner lol.
