Yeah, I have a few broken teeth now and I can't afford to see a dentist sooooo my teeth are pretty much screwed.
I wish I was a shark and could grow more xD
I'm lucky to have health insurance but it doesn't cover dental, no matter how much they tell me it does >Bu
I was supposed to go to this dentist and have them look at my teeth but I wussed out.
My mom rescheduled.

I don't know why, but I've gotten too anxious to leave the house again.
I'm Agoraphobic and have always had issues getting out, but I would do it.
My mom and I used to go to the store together, but now I don't even want to do that.
So I've...lost progress xD

Why on earth is dental (almost) never included in health insurance? :mcdead:

Bad teeth can become a serious health issue, you should go to your dentist even if you don't feel comfortable about it.



About going out, maybe you've just lost practice?
Lockdown and all that could not help at all.

Ouch really even pocky? Dx that’s like not hard at alllll.

Yeah unless you have some kind of insurance bought, most medical plans don’t include dental, prescription meds and ophthalmology (eye exams, glasses etc).

Amura: I have no idea. I know my grandpa I never got to meet died from a heart problem caused by an infected tooth he had.
So that worries me.
Hopefully this dentist can give me medicine or something for the pain and to lower the risk for an infection.
That's the best I can do since I can't pay to get my teeth fixed or removed.

It irks me so much that they keep telling me "Did you know we cover dental 8D"
No, you don't. Stop telling me that. One day I'm just going to go off on them \>8u/

That could be it. I dropped out of school in 10th grade and became a shut-in.
With the pandemic, I think I became more paranoid about leaving. I've had my COVID shots but they're saying now that the shots don't really matter because you can still get sick and possibly die \8u/

The funny thing is my insurance does cover eye exams and glasses.
They cover doctor visits, my medications, my psychologist, my eyes, but not my teeth 8u

I think there should be a way for people to get free healthcare or at least make it easier to see doctors and stuff.
Especially in countries that have enough money to do so.
No one should have to be sick or suffer because they can't afford to see a doctor or get dental work done.
People shouldn't get into a car accident and go into debt because their life was saved.

I would say my country has a good health care. It's free.
Which means you don't have to pay any fixed amount - the health care system is payed with everybody's taxes, so those who have more pay more - and you get all the medical care for free, including surgery and hospital stay.
You must pay a symbolic amount for your prescription medicines (often just a few cents).

But even so dental care is very limited.
You can go for an extraction, for surgery, for any complicated issue (Moi would be going there) but they don't really offer preventive dentail care - such as fillings.
I don't really undertand why.

My country’s okay as well, healthcare is also paid by the government but only the basics, things like dental, eyes and prescriptions would require insurance.

Yeah, it's kinda weird they cover the more expensive stuff but not the cheaper stuff like fillings ._.
Maybe they think fillings are pretty cheap so people can easily pay for those out of pocket 8u
Compared to getting a tooth pulled and oral surgery, fillings are definitely much cheaper.
