I keep getting so distracted. I'm doing one thing and then suddenly realize I'm doing or have been doing 1001 other things instead. It's irritating.

Ah, I'm trying to catch up on all this conversation. We've had quite a shock tonight. My partner's father passed away rather suddenly so he's rushing back home in the morning.

I don't think I know anyone irl with synesthesia.

@Fire: Wow that must've been quite the decision to make to sell everything to travel. Was it something you've always planned and considered? I would love to do that but I always feel like I'm obligated to get a job, put down a deposit for a home and stay here with my family. I mean, my parents are already working out how to divide assets to place under my name as soon as I start working full time ^^;;;; My parents are getting old and I'll soon become my turn to take care of things. My mother is current dealing with an autoimmune disease where she may bleed out any moment if we don't monitor her platelet level. 2017 has been rather stressful.

Haha, we sound very alike. I would like to try backpacking but I think I'd go insane. I could barely survive in an airbnb in Japan with a large suitcase of clothes. I'm a bit spoilt and it's probably because of that that cramped spaces with low ceilings are very stressful for me.

I have vision problems too but nothing really serious like a benign tumour. I just had cataracts at 18. I have two different lenses, one which is more yellow tinted so the colours can get a bit augmented depending on which eye I'm focusing out of. Driving can get horrible. There's always so much glare and I'm so sensitive to light especially since I recently got my yaggs procedure in both eyes. They also suspect my intraocular fluid is softening which is causing this irritating rolling flashes in my vision. It's not a retinal detachment at least. That's all I could hope for.

@moving
*mails some* Sorry if it's cold by the time it reaches you. :P I actually like bitter coffee (unlike apparently most people in this country), and the darker the better. Or, like isn't the right word since I've never liked the smell and taste of coffee. Prefer is the better word I suppose.

@poshi
Oh. :( I'm sorry for your loss. My condolences to him.

The local Starbucks did this hocolate coffee drink sample, my sister made my try one
All I could taste was the bitterness of the coffee
This was years ago, and the cups were like their larger ones, but shot glass sized

Also found out from mom recently that she is the same, which means I come by my dislike of coffee honestly

Ice and just cold coffee actually tastes better, with some milk or something. Maybe even mixed with some chocolate. Don't know. The cold just sort of changes the flavor I guess.
