Hey me too! Sure I can see up close fine but everything far away is a blur of colors.

When we're out on the road (I'm not driving) someone will
ask "What's that sign say?" and how the hell would I know ._.
I can't even read words on the tv from 5ft away >>
Or a sign at the store that says "Not hiring" <_<
Or even aisles at stores =_=

I always had trouble in school because they'd put
me at the back of the room because I was tall.
I could never see the board and when I'd say something, they'd
say my eyes are fine, I'm just not paying attention >_>
So about five years ago I went to get my eyes checked.
The doctor told me I needed glasses.
Since I didn't have actual insurance, I had a choice between
two pairs. The first was round and the second was sorta "emoish".
The emoish ones fit my face better, so I got them.
Then the assistant gave me a choice of colors - pink or black.
Oh, gee, that was a hard decision <<

Why in the world would they offer you the friggin' pink? I'm a female and I still wouldn't pick the pink.
