I'd like to comment on the Knuffel sell-out topic: It's not the way that they would sell out oh-so much faster now than they used to. We had a time when they sold out very quickly after the earlier generations had been in the store for much longer and people got upset. Firn raised the starting amount, and the sell-out rate dropped. Now, we're back to a high sell-out rate. I don't know the reasons, maybe the new market place, maybe the fact that we'll get potions soon, maybe the Quick F/P pages, maybe the designs; probably a combination of them. If this continues, Firn may raise the amount again or do something else.
What bothers me is when people believe that their way of dealing with Knuffel is the only right one and everyone else must be out of his mind to do it differently. But what really annoys me is when people want to limit Knuffel adoption to 1 or 2 per account! Seriously, I'd understand a limit of, let's say, no more than 10, no more than 8, or something in that range. But allowing people to adopt only 1 (or generously saying 2) is mean in my opinion.
And don't say things like: "Oh, but it's unfair to those who can't get the
fast enough!!" - It's not. Instead of limiting the amount people can adopt, Firn could simply raise the starting amount, so that they stay in the centre for longer and even 'poorer' users can have them.
I have absolutely no problem understanding that some people just buy one of each Knuffel. I neither have any problem understanding that some people only adopt those Knuffel they like, leaving out those who don't look appealing to them. But, why on earth is it so hard to understand that some of us like to adopt several of each? I think of mine as pets, not as items. I like each of them. I know the name of each of my 112 pets, what element and generation they are, around what level they are (and therefore, the stage) and what element they level on. I talk about my Knuffel, I show some of them around, I
actually care about them.
Am I, just because I have more than one of each, a worse user than others? Do other people like their Knuffel more than me because they have just one of each? Do parents love only children more than twins or triplets? Do they?
Everyone's free to voice his opinion, that's true and I respect that to the fullest. But, if you do, try to understand other people's opinions as well. Instead of saying: "Oh, she's so wrong as I'm doing it so much better!", ask yourself: "Why does she think so? Why does she have that opinion?"
I'm not asking anyone to change his opinion, but I'd appreciate it if people could at least try to understand other's.
