I supposedly have Blackfoot and Cherokee in me. Not sure. Any native pride I had died off due to mom being racist towards "white people" when she doesn't even look native. =A= We take after our German ancestors. Got a bit of Irish in me as well according to an aunt that plays on Ancestory.com.

I'd love to do one of those geneology tests and find out for myself as all my info comes from mom's side of the family, I know squat about my side.


Pocahontas <3 I use to have 2 different versions of her animated story. One was Disney's version and one where they actually had her as a child (but left it as a heartwarming 'lets be friends' type and far less romantic.)

Sucks about the racisim. I have a friend who is Native American and Hispanic, and her sister is too, but her sister is racist about Native Americans and Hispanics. BU And I'm like What?!

We're going to save up soon so I can do Ancestry.com and find more about my family. My dad's mother's grandmother never told her anything about his mom's family. I mean not one thing. It's like she was keeping it secret for their safety. It's soo weird. Like something you read or watch in a movie. And so far we can't find anything on her. We also can't find much on my dad's side. But I do have some leaves on ancestry, but I can't access them without money. XP

The mark on her cheek and the stuff around her horn are tattoos. No scar over her eye, that's more tattoo. You can make whatever kind of tiara kind of tattoo you want for her forehead, it doesn't need to look like that. Spots on her chin? XD Okay. She likes pets, but would be just as happy with a little pet spider out of your own imagination. She doesn't need to be holding the book, and you can make a different kind of doll if you want.

DC, my dad's grandma was full blood Cherokee, and SHE was so racist against Native Americans that she never went outside so she'd stay looking white.

And... Tattoos. A dark green cross on her belly, and some birds flying up her ribs and some swirly designs on her arms nad legs? And some scars.

Ohhh. Yeah, that's tattoos, and yeah, that's fine.

Grandma Cora even lived on the Cherokee reservation.

Don't feel bad. I don't know most of my family either. I barely know anything about my parents' parents, or any of their siblings.

Yeah, I haven't really known any aunts or uncles much since I was twelve. Met some of my mother's siblings and nieces and nephews a couple times after that. I've got my chosen family instead.
