I only finished one question for the writing meme, and now I'm gonna try doing homework again. I need to find time to go to school and complete some of my other work too... I'm so lazy. DX

Aha, it was a bit cool here. :)

Yay, I finished one of my papers! :D Granted, I did the bare minimum of it, but talking about acquisitions isn't a strong point. I prefer the reference and circulation units in the library --that's where you get to interact with the patrons, yay. :D

Aha, I like cool, breezy autumn days myself. Mostly autumn.

Yeah, but I still have at least two more projects for this class to go, and several more for some others.

Good luck! I need to read two to three articles and make some sort of outline for a group project by then. I feel so lazy. XD


Is it bad that I cringe at the sight of a Japanese name in an original fic? That's not very fair of me, I know, but I think I've started to think that most fics with Asian characters are going to have more stereotypical content and shallow knowledge of the culture than unique/interesting characters and plot. DX I feel so bad that I have such a negative impression of Asian characters... I think it's because of all my bad experiences with Asian-obsessed people writing about them. *headfloor* Also, I went through that phase when I was younger and am now kinda embarrassed for these writers as well as my past self.

I think it's fair of you to be wary of those sorts of characters. Hell, I'm wary of most OCs that pop up who have a strong "national" feature to them (national's not the right word, but it's 4 in the morning...). It probably means the author is going to lean more on the "Japanese" or "French" or what have you aspect of the character to save themselves from having to develop the charachter further. It's an easy way to make a character seem unique without having to do too much thinking of your own.

Blarrrrgh, still sick. But in better news, the new bed for my move is god-tier. Oh man. I took a nap on that thing today and I slept like a rock for over five hours, even though it was hot as hell. Usually I toss and turn and wake up and whatever. Guess finally having a real bed instead of a cot or a mattress on the floor really does do a body good.
