Ahaha, I was half joking ;)
I do trust people online, but it's a bit different when it comes to business, I suppose. I just make sure I know them properly before taking on jobs.
I love doing book illustrations! The only thing I don't like is publishers messing with your images afterwards... >:( Hope you get to do it!

I haven't had any problems so far. *knocks on wood* but I fear like someone buying art and then request PayPal I didn't fallow though and demand money back, witch would lock my account and prevent me form doing commissions, unroll I can station things out with PayPal.
But so far no ones been that way, though I did have one person tell me if it looked like I didn't do good she would request money back, but she didn't do that.

I would love to take a request, but I would feel really nervous drawing one of your characters.. I really don't want to make any weird mistakes.. ; _;

Those look really cool. XD And I know someone on the furry site that you get some of your commissions from. :3 He showed me a picture that he made and it was really cool, though it was a picture of 3D rendering that he had done. :3
