I didn't need the surgery. He was able to pull it out.
He had a really hard time, though xD
He said "Sorry, I don't mean to manhandle you, I'm just trying to get it out UB<"
It's going to be sore as a bitch, though.

Well that is good that you didn't need surgery.
I don't know, the candy usually doesn't last long.
Only if I got a bag of candy corn. I usually only eat a few and then end up having to throw the bag away because it has been there for months. 
I think it stays good for a while though.
