Me too! I love sports anime in general. My faves are Haikyuu and Kuroko no Basket. Yuri on Ice was amazing too, but it felt really short. I wanted it to have more seasons too, but I suppose that's easier to do with team games, making up narratives and rivalry and analysing games and techniques and all that good stuff. Team rapport too. Yuri on Ice was just coach-trainee rapport.

Yuri on Ice is getting a Prequel movie, and it's suppose to be getting a second season eventually. I think the reasons more YoI is taking so long to come out are these:
It's an original anime series, it doesn't start from a manga or light novel like most of the other sport anime out there. They have to create the story from scratch and are trying to make it as unique as possible.
The way they animated the first season also takes more time than what current anime takes up. (that and the more time they take on the animation, the better the animation will be)
Then Covid was sure to slow things down too.. =A=,
Then there is getting funding and other issues to contend with as they work on the series.. if funding dries up in the middle of animating, the project could get scrapped.

I'm picky with sports anime. Kuroko no Basket was one I tried to watch, but it felt like everyone had super powers and I lost interest in it.

Then there was that soccer anime, where the guy was a clean freak. That was a fun one.
I want more episodes of Baby Steps too.. =/ new season pleases and ploxes!!!

There was a female cheerleading anime that came out after Cheer Danshi did... and it was basically the same story just with girls.. =A=,

I will watch almost everything. But I do get picky at times...

I also am not a sports fan but I adore anime sports. <3

Re:Zero is a good one. I gotta watch season 2. I see Rem in your signature and was thinking "Oh.. we just had a Re:Zero collab on DisgaeaRPG and I couldn't get Rem or Oni Rem... but I got Ram and she still kicks ass <3

I don't do sports at all. I only do yoga. But I love sports anime. I'll be hyped about a sport in an anime and then when people are playing that sport in real life on TV or in the Olympics I'll be like... meh not interested
I mean, I watched the entire Hikaru no Go and I still don't know how Go works. But that didn't diminish my enjoyment of the anime.

Oh, now that makes sense why there's delays in Yuri on Ice coming up with new seasons. I thought it was weird that after the success of the first season they weren't releasing more.

Kimchi is amazing. One of my favourite foods. I'm trying to improve my gut microbiome with it because my digestive system isn't healthy either and I have chronic tummy problems.

Moi: When I first saw it I was like. 'wut oAo, this is like.. only x episode... why did he..? no? ... oooooh interesting! OAO I wouldn't want that.'
