I don't even try reading the isekai that are obviously fanservice for the male gaze. I like the villainess ones that have women as the MCs and are all about them trying to survive politics, or get revenge, and that sort of thing. Actually the reason isekai became a favourite genre of mine is because there are so many plots with women MCs that are NOT focused on romance. Sometimes they actively subvert romance. And as someone who rarely does romance I love it. Even when there are so-called 'love interests' or suitors I love how they often have to manipulate gender relations to meet their objectives while guarding their emotions and putting themselves first, it's hella empowering.

My mom watches it on occasion. Mostly Naruto or Boruto. But she does check out others.

DC: owo, that's what CR is.. CR stands for Crunchyroll. They took down the apps for the smart tv's because "not enough used the smart tv apps" which is why I need my ps4 which has the CR app. I use to have the app for the smart tv on my bluray player which used the same OS system... then poooof >:x sorry no more app for that system because not enough people use it!
You have to either: use a playstation system with the app, xbox system, (I don't think the switch has cr... then again i have a switch lite so it doesn't matter) or you can use screen mirroring if your pc allows it (or your phone) to play the cr app off the pc/phone and mirror it to the tv.. which I COULD do but.. i'm playing games off my phone so.. no >:x

Oh there was one where the dude was a pro wresler who loved animals, gets isekai'd to a world with anthro people!!! OwO O..M...G... haha it was hilarious.. x'D that poor wolf guy.. x'D ugh I can't remember the name of it... and so many people hated it but I enjoyed it.

There was one Isekai I was reading that had a female protag.. that I hated. Surviving using Only Potions... (AKA Potion Loli)
She requested to start her new life over as a teenager. But because she's asian, transported into a world that has more european like people (aka she's short as fk and the others are fking giants to her.. story of my life) and because asians tend to look younger then what they are.. she now see's everyone as pedo's... and wants to find a husband but yea not working. I dunno why but her character just pissed me off too. =/

There's one where a guy gets isekai'd and ends up raising kids... it was good from what I read but that was a while ago, so I need to re-read and catch up.

Oh! The Death Mage who doesn't want a fourth! That's very good.. though it is fanservicy >w>, and... probably most westerners won't like it due to the MC circumstances

Basically: MC dies first time, god screws up and then instead of fixing his mistake, just screws MC over and sends him to world 2. MC dies again, this time by the other reincarnaters hands, is pissed off and wants revenge. God doesn't like this and sends him to the next world where he dies a third time... and then to the next world where he's reincarnated as a half vampire half dark elf person.. and in this world.. racism is a major thing. This world is ruled by many gods and they are split into 2 groups. Human and human like (Human elf dwarf) and the non human (dark elf, vampire, giant, orc, ghouls.. ect) basically anything this goddess made, the other gods don't like. A war happened, goddess is badly hurt and is in hiding while she recovers.. stuff... something like that.. been a while since I read this..

and the MC is thrusted into this racist world as a half vampire half dark elf (and these two races hate each other too apparently.. dunno can't remember) and he's a fking toddler trying to survive. DUDE JUST WANTS TO LIVE! HE DOESN"T WANT A 4th DEATH! D8

What the westerners will hate (and is probably why it's never gotten licensed yet) is the sexual theme of the series.. Toddler has a harem of large breasted adult women =w= HE'S A FKING TODDLER THAT HAS A HAREM! x'D

I find it ridiculous and stupid and it makes me laugh like wtf.. but that so far is the only bad point of the series. I love the rest of it.. well the reincarnation god pisses me off.. Anyway good series, webnovel is up on NovelUpdates if you wanna check it out. Needs an anime ... a proper anime.. not what KamiTachi got... so pissed off about that. =A=

DK, this actually reminds me why I am very cautious to try Japanese isekai- that toddler thing is WTF. That Campfire Cooking one sounds totally up my alley tho.
I have recs for you too: Beware of the Villainess and Your Throne. The former is on Mangadex and the latter is on Line Webtoon. Both manhwa are about the villainess and heroine joining forces. Another great one is Shadow Queen. I loooove isekai villainesses.

It's mostly concentrating on the adventure he's having and the crap he's gone through. There are some jokes and innuendo but that's about it.

I feel bad for series like this though. It's got a great story and stuff, but people avoid it just because the MC is a toddler with a harem. Like.. ignore that part of it, it's not even all that important.

Stuff like this doesn't bother me much. It's anime/manga. It's not real. That and there are WAY worse anime out there to get upset about if people want to get upset at 'child abuse anime.' (Boku no Pico for example)

I'd rather get pissed off at actual child abuse and hoping my own father (who is a child molester and molested me when I was 2) dies a slow painful death. Ah.. and my aunt's ex boyfriend needs to die too.. fking pervert.. >:x fking cops that told me I'd be arrested because i recorded his 'sexual act' with out his permission.. they need to go die too... what he did was sexual harassment and in MY apartment... I'm not really a fan of villianess isekai really. I'll look into them when I'm in an isekai mood though. (Right now reading Holmes of Kyoto, since J-Novel Club has it out on catch up!! >w<)

A lot of people watch this stuff and get desensitised to it IRL too though, cause it gets normalised in the stuff they watch and they're used to switching the morally judgemental part of their brain off. It's no big deal according to them. I've been molested as a kid too and if I was watching something with stuff like that in it I would need the show to treat it as if it's NOT okay and NOT normalise it, otherwise it'd be even more triggering than it already is... but yeah that's in my particular case that I also get triggered by messed up stuff that hasn't ever happened to me. I know it's not 'real', but to me it's similar to someone IRL talking about stuff like this as though it's no big deal- like someone making rape jokes for example. They often would never actually rape someone and might treat actual rape as morally bad, but that rape joke still trivialises rape.

I guess what I'm saying is some things shouldn't be trivialised even in fiction, because it COULD feel belittling to people who believe that that stuff is so bad that it should always be treated seriously as the bad thing it is?

I've noticed that the anime waifu crowd are pretty misogynistic and aren't actually 'over real women' like they say they are... the ones I've come across at least. They're constantly objectifying women like they do their waifus and they're really just a different kind of incel. They're pissed that women don't sleep with them and they like their waifus because they can't reject them, because they really are just objects and not people...

Unfortunately I don't think anime can absorb the pedos, because they do want to hurt real children, and because children are easy targets. Unlike women, who can reject someone and who know to protect themselves, children haven't been taught that they can say no to someone, especially an adult. Children aren't given the knowledge to protect themselves.
