Aha, yeah, RPs for me as well! It's not the case with every author, but when I don't know what I'm getting into, I just feel unsettled.

I read from the Shousetsu community on LJ, which I like because I'm more familiar with journal communities (even if I don't post much in that particular one and have never submitted anything myself.) Some fics are good, some fics are less good, but at least the writers had meet some requirement or another--that's comforting to know, at least.

My current Asian character, Ages (it's a nickname), is the most recent I've had, but he's so white-washed, it almost doesn't matter that he's Asian. XD; Culture still plays a role here and there, but it's not very dominant in his story.

Oh, and I also have Shen, but he's a mix of Chinese and Iranian (Persian). Very odd, but there's a bit of a story to that where I actually worked out his family tree and how his parents met up. XD I actually rather like him a lot because he's like, the emo kid who's not emo. I've gotta find an RP for him when I have more time.


@Meme: Huh, that is a good point --a person's ethnicity is an easy trait to focus on and comes with a ton of stereotypes.

Ah, I love a good bed. I don't like my new one, but it's better than some that I've slept on before and I get by. Beats the twin mattress, at least. XD

Are you the type of person who's fickle about where you sleep? I wouldn't like to think I am (I've slept at a school dance before, oddly), but sometimes I find it hard to fall asleep on a certain type of mattress or in a new environment.

@Xae: You're telling me. Have you ever read "TJ and Amal?" I would've posted it on the front page under my favorite comics, but it's uh... 18+ I would've been equally happy without all that "adult" stuff though; I adore the author and her characters. She's got... like... they're just... so unique and bizzare... XD; I don't know, I just feel like the comic is so daring and amusing. Apparently I like it so much that I'm at a loss for words as to how to describe it.

It will probably be done tomorrow, I think. Are you excited? *waggles eyebrows* I'm looking forward to when yours does. Might take two weeks after this new one's released, I think. Less than a month.

@ Mikael: I'm not extremely picky about where I sleep, but it does have to be pretty cold because I get super warm when I sleep. Like, I prefer the room I sleep in to be 60 degrees. That rarely ever happens except for in the winter and when I get so hot I just sleep on the floor on top of a vent...but one can dream. I should just sleep in a walk-in freezer somewhere.

Twin beds are so hard to get comfy on...I always roll off mine and break things. That's why I'm so excited to have upgraded to the queen. No more waking up bruised on the floor! Lawl.

@Meme: Wow, that really is cold. I like sleeping in a warm place, with a bed that's not too hard or soft, with a flat pillow to sleep on (the fluffy ones give me a neck cramp for some reason.)

I had a twin up until last year or so, then I upgraded to a full-size bed. It's a world of difference. XD

@Webkinz: It's mementomori --I generally take the first two syllables of a lengthy SN to use as a nickname. In Grim's case, however, they were the two syllables in the middle of his name! XD I don't know where that other "i" in Agriimony went, though.
