Well, I've seen and heard of so many people taking a 'gap year' and never going back. xD
I'd hate that, really. I'm doing as much as possible to avoid a year like that. The years I'm gonna have to work as a flight attendant I'm just gonna act as if it's school or something and just hope I won't end up as a flight attendant for all my life... but most of the time, it just doesn't happen. You'll get stuck in your job and school... well you ain't seeing it from the inside again. >>
But decisions really are still terrible to make, aren't they? :p
I still don't know what I'm gonna do either. For now I'm just rotting on my couch everyday. No school, no job... Just pondering. I'm terrible xD

If I did take a gap year, it would be spent working on my artwork and working. So it's not like I'd be going abroad and partying, and just delaying for a year. xD
I don't have the money to do anything like that, unfortunately. It would be nice if I could!
And ugh, I know that feeling; I've been spending my time recently just not knowing what to do either. Hopefully I'll get myself sorted over the next couple of weeks.

'Taking a gap year' here means working xD
We're Dutch, we don't even know how to bloody party.

Ahh; a lot of people here consider a gap year taking time to travel the world, party, etcetera etcetera.
I wish I could though, I'd love to travel to Japan. <3

Ah right, you mean this kind of gap year :D Here it means to travel to another country to go to school or university there. Which is so expensive.. One of my brothers did that, he really liked it and he learned so much and he found new friends and he is still in contact with them!
We know how to party, but only with booze.

Haha, that's exactly like here; partying has a heavy reliance on drink here. It's quite sad, really. ;c
I also never understand people who will drink for the effect, not because they genuinely enjoy the taste of the drink. Waaat.

Hehe, well traveling I will during these gap years, yeah. xD
And after my gap years I will do so again. So. From now on, hopefully, my life won't be anything but traveling.
Going to school abroad isn't really considered a gap year? o.O
It's considered going to school...
You can use a gap year to go abroad, yeah, but you have to pay for it of course. So you either have to be very very lucky by having rich parents, or you have to work your ass off before your gap year, or you have to take multiple ones, or you work while traveling. But mostly people just use it to take a job.
I never considered booze a party. x'D

Ah well dunno. I just know he has been there and he also studied by that time. And he has worked his ass off. He has a Bachelor degree of 1. His university here in Germany has great contact to other ones in other countries so..

I really don't call that a gap year. It doesn't sound useless in the least. And he went to school, right? So it's more like a study abroad, an exchange program or something like that?
Where did he go anyway? :)
