You should!
It's lovely, in any language!
One day I will read the books in every language I know
#goals #priorities xD

These days I read only on the bus to work and during my lunch break. Only when the weather is bad though as I like to go for a walk if it is nice.

I started to plan my reading because I read a lot of books parallel. sigh
But then there was A song of ice and fire and currently I am on the fifth book (german edition). Oh well... And Sherlock Holmes, Gabrielle Bernstein, Marquez... they lay there and wait for me.
It is nice to read much again. A little time ago I got to little concentration for it. I bingewatched Netflix but forgot about the plot very fast too.
Now I am back to reading and for this year I plan 50 books. On goodreads I am ahead but that is because of manga I read - it's to expensive to follow all the manga series at the moment, no solution in sight.

@LittleJulez: how many languages do you know?

@Addicay: too much stuff to read all of it, too much XD
sometimes I wonder why I keep looking for books to add to my to-read list because I already have hundreds there XD

@wulfilalice: Yes, you are right. I got this huge wishlisht ... no, I got a few huge lists on diverse sites. Amazon, rebuy, medimops... So many books, so little lifetime. :mcheh:

Today I saw the Trailer for A wrinkle in time. I'd like to read this series too, never heard about it til last year.

@wulfilalice Procrastination is something i'm good at but recently i've been doing it through kofk :mcsweat: A bit random but your name reminds me of the band Wolf Alice. Have you heard of them? They're one of my favourites. Some songs i would recommend if you're interested: Don't Delete The Kisses, Beautifully Unconventional, Bros, Freazy

@LittleJulez I hope to learn a language fluent enough to one day read an entire book like HP. :mcheh: I used to read on the bus but was quick to realise it made me feel sick, probably motion sickness, maybe? Reading in breaks also gives me a headache because i'm studying art so i spend most of my day staring at a page anyway. :mcgloom: Yes, yes. Walks are nice! I love going on walks, they're so underrated.

I still look for new books too, even though I have heaps. Second hand stores are your best friend if you want real cheap books. I usually get them between $2-$5 each, depending on its size and popularity.

I have a ton of books, and most of them I've never read, but I always go to at least one fill a bag book sale every year!

I don't know about that, actually! I just know she's known for her photographic theory work, and she was in a relationship with Annie Liebovitz. I think she also wrote other stuff. Of course I could go look it up, but where's the fun in that 8D

@Addicay UGH if you ever find a solution to that manga being expensive thing please share it haha! I am so far behind on so many series because they cost so much just for one volume.

I bought a huge pile of big magazines today for research. I'm considering counting them as books for my challenge because actually they are massive, 300+ pages each and full of text.

@Addicay: I haven't read a wrinkle in time either. it's been popping up around goodreads for a while

@Ghost: no I haven't heard of them. I should check them out :)

I've just been re-reading our thread on 2017 reading challenge and we talked about paperbackswap and bookmooch - sites where you can exchange physical books for free (at the cost of sending books to someone, basically). so another great option to get free books. there's also bookswapper in germany dealing with books in english.

I haven't used any of these sites yet. a physical book is only important for me if it has a stunning cover (need that stuff on my shelves). my favourite source for ebooks, though, is storybundle. they combine a few indie published books in a themed bundle and you can buy it for your own price. you can also request 10% of your payment to be donated to a charity.

@jacobgrey: you should TOTALLY count them!!!

In a similar vein, I also buy stuff sometimes through Humble Bundle - it may even be the same company judging by the name. They put up comic books more often than books-books, and if they do it can often be non-fiction, but I got like 20 comic books for $10 in ebook form from them recently. And not like indie or unheard of comic books either, they were good titles.
