@Hinote
I know how you feel, my fav. knuffel is the Gen 1 Fire knuffel.. I love all her stages, but I wasn't around to get her... I'd pay 10k for her now if I could... >w< I'd want to be able to level her up and things myself though of course...

It would be really cool, if there was an option where you could sell back your knuffel to knufftropolis for 2500fp, they would be reverted back to level one, and then someone else could come adopt them again. That way, if you had extra of a certian knuffel you didn't want/need, you could give them back, and others could have other Generations of knuffel they weren't around to get.. :qh:

Also there R ppl that don't play any more. I've seen knuffels from early gen. on lvl below 5. It's obvious nbdy is takeing care of them. I thought about it much earlier, but didn't dare to mention. If Firn or sarkard see accounts that R not used anymore they could delete them and make some kind of re-adoption center for abandoned knuffels. They would get first lvl and could be bought one more time. U could also put there knuffels that U don't want for some reasons. It's only an idea that came up to my mind when I was feeding random knuffels from link in adoption center. I saw so many old knuffels on low lvl... I think the lowest one was gen. 2 fire which was about lvl 3 or below. My Miliora is now lvl 3 and I bought her just yesterday. Nobody cares for them and there R ppl that would love to have them.

About knuffel charity... When I started playing (which wasnt so long ago), I earned for my knuffel in few days. I dont remember exactly, but it was about 2-3 days. Mostly by voting in polls. So its not that hard. Yes, it takes time, but its worth it, and I think it wouldnt be much fun if was easy. Its one of the reasons I stayed- because its not that easy.
But of course its good idea for people who dont have enough time.

Hinote ~ hm, but what if they want to come back on kofk one day?

Ignea: I know it would be a problem to decide which accounts R not used AND their owners R not going to come back. But on many sites there is a certain time that if U R inactive they delete your account. If someone wasn't around for year or two than I don't think he will be back. Also there could be some warning send by an e-mail to owners of non-used accounts. Sth like a remeinder. "Hey, your account have been inactive for a long time. Wanna come back to us?" If U get sth like that and U feel like coming back, than it's not a problem. Another user of our community ^^ And others will think: "Oh, it's this crap with stupid dolls to feed and play. Boredom..." And their knuffels could be re-adopted. It's just an idea and, as U see, I even hadn't told it to Firn or starkard. Just... thinking aloud :P

It depends, though. Is this place active and productive enough that it could afford deleting old accounts after a period of time? If not, having the account still there is a more recommended thing to do because as mentioned, you never know if they might decide to come back some day. It also depends on the site. For mostly forum-based sites, that is not much of a problem because they can just open another account if they wish to rejoin the community. It's a bit trickier when you have 'pets' that you adopt and level up.

I am one of those who have been gone for a very long time and came back. I technically started an account back in September 2008, but it's only around August last year that I first posted on KofK (and remembered I had an account). The long period of inactivity was because back then I was active on another site and I didn't have enough free time to devote to more than one place. If the current Knuffel system was up back then and I had adopted a few, I would not be happy to know that what I have worked for to get be gone like that.

The e-mail notice might work for a few, but personally, more often than not and especially if I was occupied or busy with other things, I may read the mail but forget about it even with intentions to keep the account.

Although personally, I would really, really like to be able to get some of the older Knuffel (as I came back late, I only managed to snag them from Generation 5 onwards), there is still no solid workaround that matter which would work for most. Here's to hoping, though. xD;

As I said: This is only an idea.

But still I think that some way of selling or exchangeing knuffels would be sth that most o poeple would like.

Old accounts with no avatars and no posts have been deleted before.

I'm not fond of the idea of deleting accounts that have been inactive.
My friend and I joined a site together and he hadn't logged on in a little while and wanted to log in one day and they had deleted his account due to inactivity.

I would really like a knuffel gift option.
But all I can think of is how people would abuse it.

I can just say I was extremely happy my Neopets account was still alive although I have not logged in for almost 6/7 years because of the birthdate requirement previously. xD

Yeah, selling, exchanging or gifting is something which could be easily abused, which makes things trickier. =A=
