My mom and dad were never married.

Man most of the women I know still give their baby their baby daddy's last name. Dumbest idea I ever heard of. Why would you give your baby a different last name then you if you're the mother? It's going to spend most of it's time with the mother and her side of the family anyway. It's just confusing to give it a different last name.

I hate when they do that.

Yeah, my mom gave me her last name. :o
It was the name from when she married my sisters father.
When she got divorced she kept his name.

It's troublesome and expensive to change your name.
I've decided that I'm going to keep my last name. It'll make things easier on me. I won't have to get a new driver's license, social security card, and passport.

I mean, I don't really care what other people do to their name when they get married. It's their choice. I just think it's silly to change JUST the woman's name because of 'tradition'.

Like I really like Kevin's last name. It's really cool. BUT I would feel weird if he didn't change his last name too. You know? Like I feel it wouldn't be fair.

Plus I've gotten kind of attached to mine. I've had it for 24 years. lol

I don't feel super attached to mine since like... it's my sister's dad's last name. :U You know? I didn't even know the dude. But my mom HATED her maiden name. xD And... it is pretty bad so I can understand.
