I need to find a place that sells undergarments that aren't made of cotton.
I go camping a lot and you can't wear cotton while camping, that kills more people than pretty much anything else, and most of my old sets are getting worn completely through! The store that I used to buy them at is 1500 miles away, so now I want an online source, or a national chain, or whatever. But it's surprisingly hard to find!

Well, you *can*, but the minute it gets
wet damp, even just from body precipitation, it starts to be worse than wearing nothing, as far as keeping you warm/protected. So it's not a good idea unless it's super hot out. And it's never super hot out when & where I go camping
I forget the exact numbers, but it will hold its own weight in water quite a few times over, but not hold it in a good way, hold it in a "leech you of all body heat" way. (Wool will hold water in a good way, I don't know how, but it just adds to its insulating properties. Nylon, silk, etc are all pretty neutral)
So cotton is really great for cooling someone down when they have heat stroke, but for going camping... not so much.

Oh! That makes a lot of sense, then.
I don't like camping very much, so I don't know a lot about the do's and don'ts.

@Kui: yeah, 90% do seem to be, that's why I am having so much trouble finding what I need!
@Fran: hee hee, I'm so torn when you say that. On the one hand, I find it so sad that you don't like camping, and can't help being sorry you never had a great experience of it, and at the same time, the more people who camp in the wilderness the harder to preserve the wildernesses, so that's a good thing. Anyhow, it's not just a camping tip. Now you'll be safer for any day-hikes you make :D

I've gone camping a few times with family and once with an ex.
Most times we've camped, it's stormed, which definitely takes away from it. D:
And when I went with my ex, his friend got so drunk he threw up in the tent and my ex and I had to sleep in the car (not comfortable).
Anyways, if you enjoy it that's awesome! c:
And that's true! I have gone on a couple hikes, so that's good to know.

Ha ha ha, at least you kept trying quite a bit! No one can say you never gave it a fair chance. >.<
I think the hardest camping trip I was ever on was a canoe trip, about four days in, and some bad luck led one of us to take a fall on a portage, broke her wrist. She was 80 at the time, and her fortitude was good for her age, but... yep. Getting her all the way back to an area where we could call for help was really tricky, and took us two days. And, of course, it started raining on the way back. But it wasn't my wrist, so as callous as this sounds, it wasn't that bad; at least it didn't put me off camping anyhow. I don't think the poor woman went out much after that, though.

Heya EVa! It's been quite a while no?
Akili: would polyamid and elastane work? If so, the brand I have a lot of (especially for sports and such) is called footsie (ridiculous name), but it's only made of those two... microfiber can also work no?
And those you should be able to buy online as well...
