I've had my same glasses for like. 3-4 years now I think? I might get the frame tightened sometime. And maybe the glasses in the frame replaced. But I actually haven't gone for an eye checkup since the start of Covid.

Yeah i think its been..nearly a decade since i got new glasses. XD so the new glasses, while a bit loose now, are great. XD and they’re transitions so when i go out, they turn dark. XP funny thing, its been almost a week and noone at work has noticed i’ve gotten new glasses lol. Just goes to show how visible i am at work, hahaha.

Well the only outward difference between my old and new glasses is that my new glasses have larger frames, my old pair was smaller and more rectangular. The color is pretty much the same, its like this brown vintage looking tortoiseshell.
But yeah, the only time my coworkers noticed the difference was when i went out (into the sun) to do something like pick up mail or something…and my transitions kicked in and i came back in with sunglasses. Then they were like “OH your glasses changed color!” And i’m like “yeah they’re new and they’re called transitions” 8U. And it only took a few weeks before they noticed lol. Just yesterday, someone FINALLY noticed that my glasses were new WITHOUT the transitions in effect and i was like thinking “thanks for noticing after almost a MONTH lol.”
My direct supervisor keeps complaining and lightly scolding me for “sneaking up” on her lol. Even though i clump around like an elephant sometimes to make myself noticed, she says that i should speak up whenever i’m close by. XD;;

My mom used to complain about that too.
When I was a teenager I decided to wear a bell... and she kept saying she did not hear me!!

Lol yeah i’m decidedly more quiet than a bell probably. XD i mean, i do make sounds when i walk but very quiet. I guess that’s why my supervisor is like “stop sneaking up on me!”

I walk quietly too and, in general, I don't like making noises.
But still I'm not a cat, I always foung it amusing that people would not notice me.
You get in the room and say "Hello!" and some people get startled - "Oh, I did not hear you!"
Yeah, of course, why on earth would you hear me even before I greeted? XD

My brother goes everywhere stomping. My mom always said he was like an elephant in a pottery shop xD
I on the other hand never liked making noise. So I startle her.
Apparently she's never happy with our noise level xD

i remember mythbusters once did a myth about "a bull in a china shop" or something...xD and it was completely busted because the bulls would literally weave in between the shelves and avoid them completely. xD
