It's a 1968 (musical) movie with Dick Van Dyke who plays an inventor/mechanic single father, and he brings home an old (broken) car and tinkers with it until it works, and names it Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang, and the family goes on an adventure in it. Kinda. It's pretty strongly implied that a lot of the adventure is bed-time story nonsense, but still.
It has a LOT of silliness in it, so of course I love it.
