It seems that the name switched from Easter, cramming it to one theme and one date range, to spring, which allows more freedom

Wow, Lliikkiittaa! You have a great memory with dates! :mcwink:
I had remember that it switched over from Easter to Spring at some point, but I could not remember when.
Of course, there have been years where Firn and Starkard skip events - Valentines Day, Kofk Anniversary, and Mother's Day often get dropped if Firn and Starkard have too much on their plate.
But it's always fun to hope! :qh:

Ambarsariya X'D The double wink was a mistake. But you're not wrong!
Many of the modern Easter traditions (at least in America) seem to more closely resemble the fertility festivals Easter was probably based on - chocolate is an aphrodisiac; eggs for female fertility; bunnies for their short gestation period. :mcheh:

Wow, I didn't know Firn and Starkad celebrated Mother's Day with special stuff on KofK :mcshock: I've never celebrated, or witnessed celebration of that in the kingdom. I hope I get to soon. I'm curious about how it would be done.

And I didn't know that about Easter either! But then, Easter isn't really celebrated here, so I didn't know much about it to begin with.

Also, damn, Fire, you kicked life's butt. You go girl!

So, I have no idea how I missed this!
That's so interesting, Jacobgrey! I'd love to hear more about it! I love hearing about how other people's synesthesia manifests itself! :mcsquee:

Ambarsariya: There have only been a couple of Mother's Day items, typically bouquets. It's usually celebrated with an announcement with a link to follow for the free items, similar to the Kofk Anniversary events and Valentines Day events. I think there's been three? Though, I'm not sure exactly how many, and what years they were, anymore. :mcheh: I've been here long enough that the years are starting to blend...

Really? No Easter where you're from? Where are you from, if you don't mind my asking?
Of course, everyone celebrates it differently, and there are certainly some religious aspects for those who practice, but in the States, it's a lot of chocolates, candy-filled eggs, and bunny-themed items - all symbols of fertility. Which makes sense - Easter falls near a bunch of old fertility festivals. Like Yule with Christmas. :mcheh:
The blooming flowers and coming crops aren't the only new life that spring celebrates. It's also mating season for a lot of animals. :mcwink:

I don't know what to tell really... just that foods have certain colours when I taste them XD

Oh, I guess one thing that is interesting: I have an extra "colour" when I taste. I think of it as "clear". It's not really an absence of colour but it's an extra colour, just not one related to the colours we can see if that makes sense. Lettuce has it. Also mushrooms are brown and clear. Think of fresh water running over fertile soil and that's about the colour combo XD I hate lettuce, but I love mushrooms. I guess it's the addition of brown which makes clear taste good.

Isn't there a term for giving words and food and such colors/numbers?
I don't have it, but one of the characters in one of the quartets I have does, with animals. It's not mentioned often, but bears are brown. Red and black spots mean illness in the animal. Immortals have gold, as well as another color. Gold for immortal, and then their personal identifying color

The word is synesthesia, but I think you may be more thinking of auras?

Maybe we won't get an Easter event after all. Maybe we'll skip right to summer.
