I think it's probably tough to be in either career. Oirans don't exist in the common era, except for when putting on a show, but I can't imagine it was actually easier than being a geisha. Plus, both professions had to learn the customs and what is seen as attractive or unattractive. It's vastly different from what I'm used to growing up with instagram, so it's kind of interesting.
Butt pillows? hahaha

That is what I call those things women use to attract men. From what I was told, they were to make the butt and hips look bigger. And that was to claim that they had good 'birthing hips' or something... like.. dude.. truth comes out when the butt pillow comes off... >->,

If I'm not mistaken, a lot of the women in the brothels in ancient Japan didn't live very long.
I think it was said they'd often die young because of illnesses they got, assuming STDs.
It's very sad.
I LOVE the Victorian Era u8888

https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/9555402 ... ng_details Here you go, DK. I don't have home pictures of her yet. She fits in my hand. And she still squeaks, despite being over fifty years old!
Moi, that is some oldschool anime in your siggy.
DK, one guy patented a bustle that was a folding stool you could sit on.

Her signatures make people want to watch the anime. Been having the urge to watch my Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust dvd for a while now.

I loved Bloodlust but wasn't a fan of the first movie, so I never bothered getting it.
If there is a bluray collection of both movies, I'll get it one day. Another movie I want to get on bluray, hoping it's all on one disk... is Blue Submarine No. 6 good stuff there.

I liked the first one, but I liked Bloodlust more u8
I don't remember much about Blue Submarine No. 6 but I know I liked it enough to record it on VHS and remember the character designs.

I didn't even know what anime it was. I watched one Vampire Hunter D movie on YouTube, I think, but I don't remember much about it other than a vampire falling in love with a young woman and not wanting to change her.
