Kingdom of Knuffel

You're going to get a song stuck in your head, and it will slowly drive you mad.

That pistol is going to jam, and not go off. And even though you wanted to suicide, its poor manufacture will so enrage you that you will begin to design weapons. Shortly you'll be recruited to a highly classified government think-tank, where you will revolutionize warfare, sadly causing huge casualties when a terrorist group hacks into the think-tanks' databases. Realizing the results, you will turn your priorities to relieving population pressures through other means, and spend your last years still trying to change the world.

Oh, they're all mini stories, for sure. Definitely some movie-worthy.
Although maybe you're thinking Willie Wonka and the Glass Elevator? And the girl who ate blueberry-flavored something and turned into a blueberry?

Something like that anyhow.
