I just don't like mind control too much... some ickier thoughts are readable to and lets just say humans can be ewie...

(that and I'm not too good at it due to having a very inadequate teacher...)

I think mind control makes feeding rather boring... I like my food to fight and try to resist! Or alternatively to give in to it by themselves... Nothing more fun than that...
It is a viable option to just silence their screaming though, if you have mastered it enough to be able to not accidentally destroy all their defense. I find this requires more concentration than I'm really willing to use for it though, mostly.
