Hey guys, need some clarification. I'm working on a story, but I'm worried it landed in Stockholm syndrome territory. It's supposed to be enemies to lovers. I tried looking both up to make sure it's not Stockholm syndrome, but I think it's gotten to the point where I'm confusing one for the other. How is enemies to lovers not Stockholm syndrome? I need it explained clearly and easily to understand. I'm confusing myself.

To be honest, even if it isn't actually stockholm, people will still see it as such. Especially those super feminisit people..

You know how in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Bell forgives the Beast and falls in love with him. People keep calling that stockholm when it's not.

I'm not sure if the original version has any abuse and brain washing or not, but the Disney Version was about forgiveness and falling in love with someone's personality and not their looks.
