They're more like...possessed or bewitched.
This could lead to the argument over what is a zombie and what's an infected human and all that xD

Yeah.
Like in some movies, they're not zombies - they're "infected".
So since they're not actually dead, they're not zombies.

Yeah. Originally zombies were mentally enslaved living people. When I write zombie stories I still use what the zombsnobs call "infected".

Sounds like the vampire fanatics and their argument...
"They just have to be bitten and drained of blood to turn!"
"No! They have to have the blood of their sire in them when they die!"
"No! They have to have be drained of their blood, then before the point of death given the sires blood!!"
"No! They have to have their sire's blood in them, die, then buried!"
Then there's the whole walk in the daylight thing.
Magic Rings, Old Enough to survive sunlight, drinking the blood of an angel, blessed by an angel... OH! Sun Screen... >w>, That was an interesting one from BLADE..
can they be around garlic? can they enter churches? do crosses hurt them? Can they breed? Can they even have sex? Can they eat food food? Do they need the toilet?...
sooo much to argue about. =/

The funny thing about vampires is there's no such thing.
You can write whatever you want and that's just how it is.
There's no guidelines to vampires.
There's no facts about them because they're made up.
People complain about vampires being sexy.
They're like "THEY'RE CORPSES AND ARE SUPPOSED TO LOOK SCARY AND KILL PEOPLE!11!"
I have my own vampire characters that act how I want them to.
I say "zombies" for anything resembling zombies.
I am a huge zombie fanatic and I'm not picky like that xD

porphyria is an illness that people called the Vampire Illness. o3o The symptoms are so similar to that of mythical vampires that it got nicknamed the Vampire Illness... Add that to that extreme light sensitivity illness and you have an actual vampire. o3o Maybe that illness where people are allergic to water as well... o3o make them atheist.. >:D
Now.. do we have modern day werewolves? I don't read much on them .. x'D
