Kingdom of Knuffel

Personally I love this idea. At least 850k will be removed from the economy with just this one auction.

I understand users being disheartened at the fact that these unique knuffels will be unavailable to most, but in the long run these auctions will hopefully make other items MORE available. With less around, all prices should eventually get lower (and people will have more incentive to put up items or FC for sale).

Cute knuffel, interesting idea I suppose, but not one I particularly agree with. Never gonna participate at least. But cool.

I like the idea, but I feel like the knuffels will systematically end up with the same few people.
The current price for this beauty is insane. I want her so bad but will never be able to afford her

It's understandable that not everyone will be able to participate, but if it's going to help the crazy inflation, I'm all in. And as someone before me wrote, it is possible that users with huge amounts of food will get rid of it that way and then some other people might the get chance to win the knuffs, so let's cross our fingers for that

Love the design and I love you for trying to help this site inflation problem but on the long-term its really devastating for new players. Just look at the price now, its 800.000 points. No new player will ever have a change to bid on it. And the highest bidder will get 3 of them.

When I joined this site it was busy and talkative but the last years are really quiet and that’s too bad!
To be honest here when I started on this site and would see this feature I will quit. It will be useless for me to collect all knuffels now. And even now after years of playing im still not fond to see this feature.
Isn’t it better to make the site more friendly to more players? or make the site more known to new players? Maybe use a design for players who invite there friends or something?
Short version. I think you make with this, another problem bigger.

Maybe consider this:
Maybe you can switch the bidding system around a little so more players with a little less also have a change.
Example:
Set 3 prices of the knuffel but don’t tell them. For this example use 10.942, 28.429 and 123.552. Then let people donate an amount of food points as an bid.
If they are the first one to give the right amount. You get one of the 3 knuffels. If nobody got it right give it to the one who is closest but is under the amount. Like someone send 10.940 in they still win. If they say 10.943 too bad they are in the race for the 28,429. (this way the programming is not hard to do because the code only needs to check under the amount and not above so you can’t get conflicting numbers who are equally for from the amount)
And if this is too difficult, give a price range to people they can bid on.
Example: this time we have 3 knuffels in the category 10.000 - 20,000 , 20.000 - 40.000, and 100.00-150.000.
This way you will still have a great money drain AND more people have a change.

Btw if you have the question: "Why would anyone try for the 100.000? ". Simple. How many new players will try for the 10.000? most of the new ones! so the change the get it is really slim. maybe 1 out 50? but the 100.000? there will be far less players who can do that! so your changes will go to 1 out 5!!

Because what would turn me completely off as a new player would be to come here and see that a Fairy Coin and therefore new items that get added mutiple times a month sell for 100000 and are impossible to get more than one Knuffel among many I possibly can't get.
Inflation and therefore insane prices for everything seem like a bigger problem than one Knuffel to me.

I really wanted this and i thought i was quite "rich" on here, i haven't been on in ages but i thought owning 168k would definitely give me the opportunity to get that knuffel but then i saw its over 800k and there is no way i could ever afford that :'c oh well, i really would have loved a chance at it at least
