I see. RL always comes first and for most of my RPs I'm pretty sure that is what is keeping ppl away.

I'm kind of lucky with my job and such. When school starts again for me I probably won't have time for serious RPs. I only get about 4-5 posts a day per RP though on a good day.

My paragraphs vary depending on what the other people posts. Usually a minimum of 3- especially when I have several characters. Though they're not always long paragraphs. I can type fairly fast though, as it were. I think I was at 70 per minute about. I haven't checked in a while.

That's exactly what it is in my case.

I don't remember what it's like to RP with multiple characters (consistently) anymore. XD;

I'm playing two free-forms right now with three in an RP and two in another. With free-forms it's a lot easier to do. I hate to say it, but most people in free forms these days bore me to tears, so I continually stack characters I think are weird or amusing in these RPs to see how people react and interact with them. Maybe I've said that before. I guess I am getting kind of tired with the run of the mill kind of characters people stack into those RPs though.

I sometimes have more fun just having my characters interact. I like telling stories though, I can't stop myself.

It's alright, I feel that way sometimes. Problem is, I've realized it's not entirely the other player's fault --I've gotten into the awful habit of categorizing characters by their personality types and haven't really given them as much of a chance as I should.

It would be easier if they weren't so unconfident/self-loathing/rebellious/kinda-a-whore, though. I don't know, many people's characters seem kinda needy.

That's exactly like the characters I come across *nods* Sometimes it's not the characters, but how the person writes and thinks of like... time, place and proper behavior.

One person in the free form is constantly writing about her character's hair color and such, ever single post reminds us what she looks like and she calls her "beautiful" on top of that. Then there the hordes of -ly words... Purple prose is artistic in its own right, The Picture of Dorian Gray is like that, but there's a way to pull it off and a way to just be... annoying. The other people I have issues with are the ones that suddenly pop in and start doing things and don't think about how rude and awkward that would be if it were a real situation. A lot of them are desperately needy and they approach and touch my characters without much reason or warning.

It seems like all the male characters I come across are some kind of warrior- brooding or noble. The girls are either super-amazing-powerful or they're timid and sensitive despite having some horrible past. Ugh, sorry, I'm probably too judgmental, but I don't like how they act around my characters, because it's so unnatural and my characters react to people saying things like "I've killed millions." Just after "Hello."

Yes, I feel the same. Starting the RP off with personal bits about the character seems inappropriate for me --until I understand them, it just seems like the character is kinda pathetic. XD; It's kinda like getting to know someone and the first thing you hear is them whining --it's like, "Dude, stop, I don't even know you and I don't want to hear your drama."

Aha, I'm not sure if Faris would start touching other characters --except as a means to cause mischief. If he likes you well enough and considers you his friend, there'll be enough of that (if he can get away with it.) It doesn't stop with people though --since his magic is namely focused on enchantment, he will try to change up anything he can get his hands on.

Not giving other players a reaction time is rude in an RP --er, that is, unless it was agreed upon prior to the post.

Aha, the "I've killed millions" bit sounds so funny --makes me almost want to throw Faris to the masses so I can watch him quirk his eyebrows and ask them if they were dropped on their heads as a child. Either that or he'll probably as if they're looking for some sort of mercenary job and that they'd need to work on a more original (and convincing) sales pitch. XD
