It's definitely more about the fun challenge and the process for me too :qh:

Um. I'm on lunch break at work and can't face trying to fix this current avatar right now. I'll get back to it later.

I love the Eardniv eyes. They were some of the first things I saved up for and bought from Popodoki! (I'm so happy she runs that massive selling thread. I've found so many treasures there)

I kinda have an obsession about some items and use them a lot**, then I get tired of it and rarely use them anymore. Plus I need turnover on my stuff so I can save the money to buy the new TT things so I had to come to term with my "collecting" period. :mclaugh:
** right now it's these full lips, seafarer border and the amaterasu clouds xD

And yeah Aki your avatar has something crazy goin on xD you talked about advices so I'm giving my 2 :q2c:
I'd change the background first I think, that brown looks weird with the "cold" colours you got, something simple should do since you have the dragon behind.
I'd probably just take off the ghost rags (or change the top underneath for something more simple).
And I'm crazy fond of border so I'll add one too ^^

Alright, simplification begun....

It's surprisingly hard to find a border that doesn't cut off details of the dragon. Next task, find an appropriate border....

I tend to use a variety of items, although I have some basics (such as armwarmers, which is a piece I love).
Anyway my avatars tend to be always constructed in the same manner, with the same kind of layers.

Li li, it's hard for me giving advice regarding your avatar. But I could share my "rebuilding" approaches.

When I'm stuck I usually undress all the items BUT a few ones which I consider the backbone of my avatar.
Let's suppose that what you really wanted was to use the dragon and those eyes we were talking about. I would remove everything else, and right away I would choose another item which was not in the previous version. For example a new hair.
That usually changes the vibe of the avatar and allows me to rebuild it.

Other times I decide against a color scheme, so I remove all the items in one color (you could remove the blue ones) and choose a new color (for example, try a pink top) and work from there.

Oooh, that's right, I forgot to submit a second!

Okay this was a pretty fast throw-it-together one, but is the skin dark enough of a brown for it to count?

Okay wait, less worrisome, use this one instead:

If you want the full participations just click here

I'm gonna choose Amura as a winner with this one :

Aki come close second with this one :

It's almost a tie (especially since I love the fishes and the use of that top in Aki's avatar) but I really like what Amura did with the background, the moon and pillars look really great together !

I love the same face you both did though in different colours :D

YAY! This was great contest!
I had not had so much fun in a long while :mccool:

Seeing them togetherwe kinda look like two elemental demons.
I am the one of darkness/night, while she's the one of light/day.

Sorry I'm so late responding!

This was a fun one -and I was definitely heavily inspired by Amura, she has had me on an Eardniv eye kick ever since then. :qh: I really liked hers, too!

Thanks for hosting, Neith, it was a lot of fun :qh:
