Haze's current avatar seems very sad to me, in some ways. There is this undercurrent of sorrow.
So I would say demon, because they seem more tragic to me.

Hmm, there are elements which scream pre-Christian and most of those go incorporated into the mythos as demonic, so that's where I'd guess.
