Aha, I'm kinda glad you feel that way. I watched I think a whole season or half a season of Magi, and I was thoroughly unimpressed. The only thing I liked about it was the fact that it was an Arabic type thing, which was different from the norm.
If you want terrible soundtracks, listen to the Death Note stuff, pfft. I like the Oofuri ones, as far as soundtracks go, and One Piece music [openings, mostly]. Oofuri music is very summer-y.
How is the manga for Magi better than the anime?
No, I don't blame you... I don't like any character in Magi, personally, but Judal's character concept is a favorite with me as well. *facepalm* Is Ren the scar-face?
I'm guessing Slam Dunk was no good? I watched some of Kuroko no Baske, but I never got past season one. Wait, did I say that already?
Aha, I see. I don't really know about comic companies. *facepalm*

@Mikael; Yeeeah I'd really recommend the manga though. The anime just kinda shat all over everything and tried to make Alibaba the main character for some reason. xD It's actually a seriously good shounen manga.
Ahaha, really? I actually never watched the Death Note anime. xD I never got much into One Piece's anime. o: And that sounds good. :D
Well, it has actual plot and character development, the art is gorgeous, and it gets into some really political things. It's kind of unusual for a shounen.
You don't like anyone? D8 And yeah Judal.. Judal's hot. .__. Dem abs.
Hakuryuu is the one with the scar. o:
It was just very.. dated, I guess. I couldn't take it seriously.
I never got far into that either--everyone had super powers! XD
I don't know too many either. o: I just looked up other manga they had and stuff.
@Kaelin; Oh I know that, I watched at least half the second season. I was crying over them killing my other favourite character off in the first season, lol.

So who's the main character? Are there any?
Don't watch the Death Note anime. It's not worth it. I like One Piece --it may not always be consistent or make sense, but it is colorful, creative, and adventurous. Every arc is placed in an interesting setting with different influences, and it has a lot of parodies. It's not an anime to be taken seriously, but it's one that can hit you in the feels. I've laughed and cried and table-flipped over that anime. It's crazy, and the characters are really likable. You just have to put up with the occasional plot hole and stupidity, but it's better put together than a gag manga.
I also like the undertones of One Piece [like how some characters don't have a last name because the world is at war to the point that many people grew up without their birth parents], and I like how they address real world issues [drugs, slavery, political issues, racism, etc.]. However, they do it in a way that even though they express the reality of the issue, they tone it down with humor and sometimes lighten the tone [like instead of drugs, they use candy]. It's really awesome.
If the first few seasons are too much, you can always just watch the movie versions, aha. Those kinda summarize what happened in the early arcs.
Ah, that sounds nice...
LOL. Well, I've only watched the anime, and I wasn't really impressed with the characters. They kind of bored me, but I do have high expectations. It was one of the reasons I hesitate on Haikyuu --I thought the main two kids were annoying. *facepalm*
Good grief. Super powers in sports is like Prince of Tennis. Dinosaurs, wtf??

I think everyone's taste varies.
Not all anime is for everyone and sometimes shows like Death Note are for most people.. etc.

*nod* That's very true, though some characters and anime/manga are more popular than others.
I've never met anyone who didn't like Mikorin, for example. I mean, he's hilarious!
I didn't like the DN anime, but I did enjoy the manga.

Hmm, I actually dislike the new art for Sailor Moon. It might be a good series, but I don't think it's one that I'd get into.

Sounds nice.
I watched the remake of Hunter x Hunter. Although went further than the original, the new art style caused the tone to change, and I think the new script didn't represent the characters as well as the old one did.
