...and the Knuffel also needs to be colored, in all stages. There is nothing wrong with white hair, white skin, etc, but even white has shades, and you only have a completely white all-consuming solid white texture, which is not "colored".
3. Artistic StandardsYour Wild Knuffel must follow some basic artistic standards
→ It has to consist of colored, filled areas, on a clean transparent background.
→ You cannot submit scribbles
→ You cannot submit sketches
→ You cannot submit uncolored Knuffel
→ You cannot submit Knuffel in a sketchy drawing- or coloring style

Yes, the white is the problem. You don't have to make it colorful, but try to give his skin atc at least a bit of color. You can use grey, cream white, blue white, or any other light, whiteish color. right now your knuffel looks like only lineart.
As for changes each stage should have at least 3 major changes. Right when you compare stage 1-2 you have one (in hair), stage 2-3 2 of them, 3-4 2 of them, 4-5 2 of them as well.
Some suggestions:
give him black panties in first stage and human ears
in second one make panties turn into long, black pants
add a new elements showing up in 3rd, 4th and 5th. Chest/ears/horn jewelery in gold would look nice maybe?
You could also give him regular human skin and hair color in first stages and then making him more pale in 3 or 4 stage, turning into white-ish/grey color in last stages.

Hey Firn, this is not about a rejected Knuffel yet but more of a preventive question. I totally love Nihal's bases and I asked her if I could tweak one into a vector and use it. She allowed me. It's not my own work of course, but I've got her permission, would this still be against the rules?
Sorry if it's been asked before!

As far as I am concerned, I don't have any problem with this.

Especially 3-4, they seem the same for me at first sight.
1-2 can be easily changed by making her top simplier in first stage.
You can also mess up more with her hair and eyes. Make them regular human eyes in brown or blue, but change into green dragon eyes later. 4th stage could have small wings, since wings you give her in final stage are rather complex.
I did add small wings to the 4th as Wiltherel suggested, they were much smaller but the same shape and all black. I actually didn't realize I hadn't saved the change (I did NOT just ignore the advice if thats what you guys thought ^^;). And I will try taking more off the top in the first stage but before when I did it looked strange in my opinion. The eye idea is perfect though, maybe I should change it in the 4th stage?

I've been working on a new knuffel for a little while, but I've been really not sure from the start whether he would be allowed for a few reasons (mostly because I'm not sure if this counts properly as evolution). I went ahead and made him anyway just because it was fun, but I figured I would ask here rather than putting in a submission straight away. Also because there are some things I would tidy up in his final stage if I were to submit him, but there is no point putting more time in if he won't be accepted anyway!
Enough preamble, here is his spoiler image

So I got the notification that "At least one of the stages is too similar to the previous / next." I suspect this is about the second stage only but before I change anything I want to be sure.

i would say its because 1 2 and 3 are too similar..
you change only one thing to at 1->2 and only 2 things at 2->3
i think that knuffel has not enough changes in general though =/
maybe you add the pantsmore early, put the eary on an earlier stage, same goes for the hat and the tail...
a good thing would be to change the color more frequently, and do not make a completed other skin color in second stage.
some shadows would be great too :)

Hello
Could somebody do me a favor and tell my if he sees any smudges around this knuffel?
http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/2498/arghs.pngI can't seem to see them on my monitor (yes, even on a black/gray/pink/blue/brown/ANY background) and the more I try to remove these smudges that are invisible to me, the more I mess up her lineart

If this didn't work now I'll just have to give up on her
I'd be very grateful for some help
