Yes, I truly hope so. Even if it's not for a job then for myself. No one in my family has ever gotten a degree. I'm the first person in my immediate family to get a high school diploma.

And in my country (Australia) it is pretty normal to go to uni, normal to go to Tafe, and it's pretty normal to just start working. Oh, and pretty normal to finish highschool too. It is required by law to finish up to year 10, and then you can drop out. I only remember about 2-3 people dropping out, and then a couple more in year 11, then a couple more in year 12.
