hn..no its more like..
if you have a filling already, or if you have a milk tooth as child, which has a bit of caries on it(fo example)
the filled tooth or the teeth next to the caries one get sealed with some special fluride, so that the caries dont spread / the filling doesnt get out.

the healthy insurance doesnt pay for it if you're not a private patient, but the doctor we have here can use a few tricks XD
because arthur has 1 tooth with caries, still a milk tooth, and the both next to it are staying ones already..But pulling it out is not necessary since he is loosing some already again. So that he doesnt have a hole (since the new tooth i still not coming ^^) he tooth stays, just sealed away so that its not dangerous for the other(newer)ones^^

i hope this explaintion kinda helps?

yeah dentists are one of the most expensive doctors here too!
you can say only a beauty OP costs more lol

if you do not have an insurance, you can still go to a dentist,BUT you must pay 450 euro just that he checkes up on you..
That does not include anything he needs to do,like pulling, filling, ect

i totally understand this problem!

i wasnt ther because the last one made some mistakes, and now i dont really like going there anymore..
since one of the mistakes resulted in something that would costs me more than 600 euro and the insurance only pays 100 lol.
so i cant pay at all,so i had to skip that even though it still hurts <<
