sounds like you're in for an adventure, but at least you have some time to figure it out :P

I would wrap the middle first and then individually wrap the top and bottom.
If you want to get fancy then you can kinda pull some of the bottom/top wrap part down onto the middle.

Or you could just put a bow on in. It's a nice gift, it don't need no wrapping. lol.

This seems very hard to wrap, indeed!
I guess I would have wrapped it individually as well :D

Sounds like that will require a lot of paper - you should take a pic and post it after you have wrapped it :mcheh: :qf:

well, I started thinking maybe I should use some burlap sacking and wrap twine around it and then it turned into a kind of twine macrame project around the handle until one of the cousins pointed out the twine would get very muddy/dirty quite fast, so I've undone that again.
Now I'm thinking that the individually-wrap the sections solution you proposed is the best way to go..... but since it's not going with them this trip anyhow (and I don't want to pay shipping), for now it's just propped in a corner and will be gathering dust.
>.<;

if I remember when it comes up later, I'll let you know what happens with it. I suspect Light's solution will probably be the final choice, though.

tbh if something's hard to wrap I tend to either forego wrapping at all and just put it in a box or such that I can wrap, or I really put a tiny bow randomly on it for the laugh of it and present it like that :P
