Yeah. I guess so. But those are funny because the characters often get flaws from the authors trying to make them so perfect... and the author either doesn't realize it or does realize it and tries to make it better and thus digs themselves into a hole.  I don't know. I thought it was pretty cool, what she did, but I have a feeling I'm a lot easier to please than most people here. The comic started as a self-insertion, heavily drawn from her own life comic, and this was one of the stories that had actually happened with her and the people her characters were based on. By the time she was done, to me, the characters were no longer just characters, but real people with real flaws and real redeeming qualities.I hate notifications. It makes me not want to check my emails.
